Ron Moss and Ferris Gilli ~ haiga |
|
I have long admired Ron Moss's haiku and art, envying his ability to combine poetry and illustration in haiga that evoke a range of emotions. It is such a pleasure to see how his paintings complement my haiku and speak to the heart of each one. — Ferris Gilli It was with great pleasure I picked up the brush and created sumi-e to these wonderful haiku by Ferris, who has been a friend, mentor and fellow traveller on the haiku path for many years. In the old tradition a painter would add his work to the finest poets of their day, so I feel I have been blessed to be encouraged to do so here. These were painted in a free flowing style to hopefully capture the essence and spirit of the words. — Ron Moss |
