Martin Grenfell
rising gale—
trapped on the ridge
one after another
strangers
become friends
cave stream
in thirty minutes
we walk through
a million years
of water
— for Phil
rest home
turning off
the kitchen tap
how tightly it clings
to the last few drops
save! save! save!
every little bit counts!
wrapping
my christmas presents
with junk mail
less spicy next time
I tell my aunty
next day at lunch
eating her share
I reconsider
