Six Years of Simply Haiku:
Retrospective Selections 2003-2008, in Eleven Themes
by Richard Gilbert
Haiku can be grouped in an
infinite variety of ways—the themes below are interpretive, drawn from
the poems themselves, as a way of presenting a few novel
dimensions of conviviality.
On the following pages, selected haiku have been
arranged into these groupings. Each haiku has been placed into one group—though
any haiku might easily be found in several more.
This presentation explores one of
many possible alternatives for haiku collections.
