HAIKU
David Serjeant
|
sound of the thaw—
in her womb
our baby moving |
|
| |
|
| |
dusting the corners...
the curl of legs
on a spider husk |
| |
|
school fair—
a trace of smoke
on the fire engine |
|
| |
|
| |
bombing ranges
over the cliff edge
a white butterfly |
|
|
night frost...
aircraft strobe lights
amongst the stars |

David was born in the autumn of 1971 and lives with his young family in Derbyshire, UK, where he works as a local government officer. He has been writing haiku for a number of years and has had work published in journals on either side of the Atlantic. He has a number of haiku related projects in mind which may or may not come to fruition. David doesn't really have any spare time, but when he does, he enjoys world cinema (he is a big Werner Herzog fan) and exploring the countryside near his home. He maintains his own website at www.geocities.com/davidserjeant
