Kasen : Morning Breeze

A fresh breath
among the grafted fruit trees:
morning breeze

Vasile Moldovan

In the flooded meadow
brushwood for a new nest

Magdalena Dale

Noon time
a tadpole struggles
in the swan’s beak

vm

Spring moon appearing
also in the trawl-net

md

Evening tea:
the fragrance of lime blossom
fills the bedroom

vm

The pillow still retains
the perfume of your hair

md

* * * *

Open window
a cuckoo's song disappears
in the distance

vm

Walking towards the field
I listen to love's echo

md

On the roadside
watching the daybreak
wild chamomile

vm

A cloud of locusts
overflying the lawn

md

Dog days -
in the combine's shadow
the afternoon repose

vm

The old bridge creaking
under the carts full of hay

md

All of a sudden
over the burnt stubble field
the harvest moon

vm

Birds without a nest
through smoke circles

md

A helicopter
is stirring up the sky -
winter manoeuvres

vm

Over twin branches
the swirl of snowflakes

md

The whole forest
in a corner room:
Christmas Tree

vm

By the fireside
still telling the same old story

md

* * * *

There's snow and there's rain
just like our childhood
first spring days

md

A bunch of catkins…
mother's warm smile

vm

Ruined tower -
the stork pair
move their nest

md

Over the fallow field
seeds of the wind

vm

Rain clouds...
above the meadow clover
silver lightning

md

Trails left by a snail
furrow the meadow

vm

Haystacks -
within the halo of the moon
fireflies

md

The orchard alight
with golden apples

vm

Soothing her yearning
a ladybird flies towards
the man of her destiny

md

An open palm:
the path of love

vm

A breath of wind -
the signal for the swallows'
departure

md

The scarecrow keeps watch
over the harvest

vm

* * * *

Break time on the field:
beneath the plough's coulter
antique vestiges

md

Silken veils everywhere -
the first white hoarfrost

vm

A fierce fight
with snowballs -
love all

md

Pacing from camp to camp
the carol singers

vm

Bright as day
above the birds' canteen*
winter moon

md

Dandelion down
on the wings of the wind

vm

*Birds' canteen: a wooden contraption holding food for birds in winter
