morning prayers
a rooster breaks
the silence		  
   
  first school holiday
rods & reels
& rain
   
sabbath day
the beach turns
inky		  
   
  winter dawn
the warmth
of your hand
 
spring light
the far edge
of the pillow		  
   

Owen Bullock Owen Bullock has published haiku, tanka, haibun and linked verse. He is co-editor of Kokako, New Zealand's only specialist haiku magazine. He was born and bred in Cornwall, but has been resident in New Zealand for 18 years. He also writes longer poems and is now Associate Editor of Poetry NZ.
