HAIKU

Laryalee Fraser

discarded tire
an earthworm
going nowhere

  cedar shadows
her whisper guides me
to the squirrel

nesting season
a small cloud moves
under a large one

  the stretch
of an eastbound train —
starry night

wide-mouth jars
a crow's wings open
to the sky
