HAIKU

John Barlow

out of the morning
the blues
of steller's jays

  the hummingbird's colours
blurred into one . . .
autumn dusk

trail dust
a spider's web strung
from bush to bush

  white paint
peeling from the barn
the dark-eyed juncos

rolling fog
the turkey vulture returns
to its post
