Terra Martin
if only
to be a kite
today
with the crested clouds
of a cerulean sky
waking up
to your pillow
the hollow left behind
still warm
to the touch
what is the texture
of sorrow
traces
of streaky raindrops
on a dusty window
to turn
from the grave
once more
to walk
through violets
if I were to measure
years by sunsets
how rich
in pirated treasure
