HAIKU

Tia Pliskow

 
Labor Day weekend
the last chapter
of a romance novel 		 
   
  an autumn day,
the creaking of swings
in an empty park
   
my son smiles
the light of
a thousand stars		  
   
  her sunrise face
blossoms show their first pink
in bloom
 
she sips espresso
in the café at five pm
already dark
