HAIKU

Linda Marshall

crisp morning--
a ring of toadstools
but no toads

  evening darkens--
the brick wall holds the heat
of the day

spring morning--
refrigerator humming
its cool song

  the raincrow's cry--
even on this sunny day
I think of old age

a grackle
plays tug of war--
the rope a worm
