in the temple courtyard --

cicadas --
my neighbor asks
about his saw |

apple harvest
the truck fills up
with hands |

thunder clouds
migrant workers gather
near the stop sign |

|
Bob Lucky currently lives in Thailand with his
family. His nonfiction work has appeared in
various journals including The Art of Eating,
Petits Propos Culinaires, and Crab Orchard Review.
His poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in
Bottle Rockets, The Heron's Nest, Chrysanthemum,
Eucalypt, Frogpond, and Wisteria.
