Triparshva : Summer Dawn

summer dawn —
the trail through the woods
covered with snails

dietmar

bands of shadow
fall across my fingers

john

tongue between her lips
she unwraps
the cellophane package

angelika

two glasses rattle,
a kiss of greeting

gerd

moonlit night,
the bedroom blinds admit
a scented breeze

dietmar

some lambs explore
the far side of the fence

john

* * * *

survivors meet
at Majdanek to share
the sawdust bread

angelika

in the darkness feeling
his way up the stairs

gerd

winter night,
a warm wind beneath
the flamenco dancer's skirt

dietmar

nitrous oxide
charged with pheromones

john

even in ecstasy
did your eyes
once leave the mirror?

norman

on the lake a swan
drinks in the color

angelika

morning gargle,
the black spider gazes
down my throat

gerd

another moonrise,
the computer's hum

dietmar

safe
in her dad's old jacket
she rakes the fallen leaves

john

each year at the fire
saint and beggar both

angelika

* * * *

face to face
with the mountain
I become human

dietmar

where the wall once stood
dirty snow

gerd

ah-tishoo, ah-tishoo
the gleeful infants
all fall down

john

perched on a fishing rod
the hazy sky

dietmar

blossom viewing
rosy-cheeked
after compliments

angelika

harlequin juggles
with the butterflies

gerd
