HAIKU

Graham Nunn

toast for breakfast
a rooster song
slices the dawn

  dry creek bed
the silence
of stones

low tide
the seaweed
loses its shape

  dead of night
a square of moonlight
where she slept

lookout point
through binoculars–
the ocean's sound
