HAIKU

Ami Shecter

soggy morning--
the shape of the river
lost in itself

  the gardener
looks to the clouds--
nightshade

beachcombing--
half the child's sandwich
in the gull's beak

  night horizon--
the crescent moon
cups its dark side

narrowing path--
a tuft of fur caught
in the brambles
