HAIKU

Ariel M. Lambert

wilted daffodils---
a change to
night-shift

  noon shadow---
a Japanese beetle pauses
on the storm window

low tide---
my finger gives the starfish
an extra leg

  record heat---
even the
aloe burns!

distant thunder
potato bugs curl
into ammunition
