HAIKU

Ulf Mohager

above roof-tops:
beams of morning
slip in the frost

  morning fog...
even the clouds
need rest

night flight...
tiny streetlights
point at darkness

  morning bus wait:
even ski lovers
curse the snow-fall

ah, night frost!
immortalized in crystals
'til the sun rises

Ulf Mohager writes: "I live in the southern part of Sweden; for almost four years now I have been writing haiku and I have published some of them on my haiku site, www.mohager.nu."

Swedish is his native language, but he also publishes haiku in English. "The freeing of the mind while writing, the essence captured in those short poems - two aspects that draw me to continue writing haiku, developing my poetic voice, releasing myself . . ."

His work has been published in the Sakura Anthology and the
online journal Short Stuff.
