evening
-
through the traffic
haze
a darting sparrow
|
|
| |
koalas
grunting -
the sound of evening
joggers
on the road |
hair
falls
as she bends to
tie a shoe
...the
willow
|
|
| |
red apples
in the afternoon
light
....fading footsteps |
morning
sun
through parted curtains
-
my eyelids!

Julie Thorndyke began writing haiku after attending a FAW workshop given
by Yellow Moon editor Beverley George. She has a day job as a librarian
but would rather be walking on the beach and writing poetry.
