HAIKU

Jose Mari Gotera

a tree
piercing the empty sky ---
solitary moon

this waning hour---
the scent of your rose
lingers....

egrets
at dusk---
those long shadows

betrayed by moonlight
a fallen soldier
bleeds to death

hail stones---
raining on the shingled roof
war drums!
