Haiku ~ Casey Huff

bright Autumn moon
on pine bough-
slowly it rolls off
  fragile hinge-
  the maple leaf swings
in soft morning breeze
leaves smolder under
a drizzle of rain-
earth scent
  Persimmon branches
  scratch the full December moon
  and moonlight bleeds
alone
in the clear November night-
a fat flake of snow

Casey Huff manages Flume Press and the Literary Editing Certificate Program at California State University, Chico. He has studied Wu style Tai Chi Chuan for 14 years.
