Haiku ~ Carla Sari

 

exile's sunset---  
over darkening waters,  
a bridge of light  
  weather forecast
  turning his face to the sun
the blind man.
deepening snow  
on the phone a voice  
she doesn't want to hear  
  clump of eucalyptus
  kangaroos rise and stare
  at the intruder
practicing scales  
the insistent doorbell ring  
of a salesman  

Carla Sari has been writing haiku, tanka, haibun and renga for a number of years. She has been widely published in Australia and overseas.
