CORNBREAD & COFFEE
are representative of the
type of photographic images of the Civil War period. They were produced
between 1851-1870s. Soldiers would have kept them to remember their
wives, sweethearts and children. They antedate the Daguerrotype which
ceased to be made by 1860.
