Haiku ~ Ulf Mohager

above roof-tops:
beams of morning
slip in the frost morning fog . . .
  even the clouds
  need rest
night flight . . .
tiny streetlights
point at darkness morning bus wait:
  even ski lovers
  curse the snow-fall
ah, night frost!
immortalized in crystals
til the sun rises

Ulf Mohager lives in the southern part of Sweden. For almost four years he has been writing haiku and publishing some of them on his haiku site, www.mohager.nu. Although Swedish is his native language, he also publishes his haiku in English.

Of his writing, Ulf says, "The freeing of the mind while writing, the essence captured in those short poems—these are two aspects that draw me to continue writing haiku, developing my poetic voice, releasing myself . . ."

His work has been published in the Sakura Anthology and in Short Stuff.
