Haiku ~ Sue Stanford

stop light
the chalky face of the moon spring
rising a new pink
  toothbrush

gone
the graveyard rivers chatter
fox the snow now shows
  what it was hiding

his ridged thumbnail
half-buried in dark mulch
a green acorn

Sue Stanford was born in London, and lives in Melbourne in Australia.

She's been writing haiku since 1993, when she was living in Japan.

Sue belonged for a time to Dhugal Lindsay's "Fuyoh" group.
