Marili Deandrea: Haiku

lenghtening shadows
the scent of tea shortens
my meditation
  blooming roses....
an old lady and her dog
scent of rain - smile at me
the paper thrill of
a paper crane
  vanishing clouds -
  with closed eyes
falling petals . . . I can smell the rainbow
why is Mona Lisa
smiling?

Marili Deandrea lives in Torino, Italy with her husband and three cats. Her haiku have been published in The Heron's Nest, See Haiku Here, Mainichi Daily News and Temps Libres.
