Patricia Lange: Haiku

a snow angel  
climbs shadow branches  
to reach the clouds conducting a
  symphony, the
  waxwing soloist
rainbow trout  
breaks surface tension  
sun seeking laughing waves
  reflect wobbly sun
  grinning red
eye of newt  
focusing on prey---  
spell binding  

Patricia Lange was born in Detroit, Michigan. She immigrated to Canada in 1969 and became a citizen in 1983. She is a mother, grandmother, medical assistant, artist and poet.

She is a member of the Canadian Federation of Poets and the Canadian Poetry Association.

She writes: "I choose a simple life. Gardening and being in nature are my pleasant chores. I dream of peace."
