| talk of war - |

| she weaves daisies |

| into a chain |
fifty candles |

my footprints erased |
| |
by the incoming tide |
| all souls day--- |

| a puppy sniffs |

| a broken egg |

| Mary King lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts and works as a trust accountant
in Boston. When she's not balancing numbers, Ms. King enjoys writing short
fiction. She's currently working on a short story in journal form (which could
become
a novel ). |
