Junicho: Rainy Season Sky

rainy season sky--
the size
of the monk's umbrella

young bamboo swaying
in the garden's centre

morning paper,
clipping out
the classified

trying to drink
lukewarm coffee

Andean nightfall
a vibration of Cumbia
beneath their feet

above the mountain
stardust and the crescent

in a madonna voice:
aren't you
a stray sheep

my coat decorated
with a field of thistle

steep road
zooming into
the smell of ocean

swallows criss-cross
along the wharf side mall

nosy neighbor
his neck twisted
to see the fire

roaring, but where?
winter thunder
