James M. Thompson: Haiku

alto wings
glide on a note
Bird song at midnight
  a sparrow's song
  from darkness
light lingers
in iris blossoms
her fragrance between blooms
  of waterlillies
  winter moon
summer breeze
the flow of wheat fields
before harvest
