Dina E. Cox: Haiku

in its absence
I dream
a new moon from which bulrush
  this cry
  of a redwing?
a crow
disappears into darkness
and itself standing
  in earth's shadow
  November moon
weeds . . .
sometimes I don't know
when to stop
