Cliff Roberts
Cliff Roberts
was born in Denison Texas. He started "tinkering
around" with haiku in high school in 1980. He joined the
Texoma Poetry Society in 1996 and has held the positions of
Membership Chairman, Secretary and Historian for Life. Cliff,
his wife Brenda
and poet mate Coke Brown live in Fort Worth with their cat
Greta. Cliff is co-host of the Four Star Writing Workshop,
a Poetry
Society of Texas councilor, the founder and president of the
Fort Worth Haiku Society, webmaster of the annual basho-ki
webpage and a member of the Haiku Society of America. Cliff
is a regular
local speaker on haiku and related forms and a sponsor and
judge of haiku contests.
moving day ~
the rain streaks
the window
from the doorbell ...
a tarantula
greets me
in the bird bath
a heated crow stares
at the brittle leaf
day after Christmas ~
only pine needles
under the tree
closing time ~
this orange moon
leads me home
